Recently, in order to deal with sustainability issues in cities, district-scale development is drawing attention. In France, a certification system called “label ÉcoQuartier” was established in 2012, and the number of certified cases is increasing throughout the country. This study examines how the urban form and the environmental techniques were selected and combined in French sustainable district “écoquartier” projects, by analyzing the measures to respond to the “engagements” in “label ÉcoQuartier”. Through the analysis, it was recognized that implanting plural techniques into the public park is assumed to be important. Moreover, there was a certain similarity in urban density in the three projects, which implies that there is an appropriate density for sustainable districts.
