Off-grid is a power system that is completely separated from power grid of electric companies. When introducing it into a local region, a trade-off between maintenance cost of power grid and the number of involved users arises. The purpose of this paper is to find the optimal off-grid solution considering the influence of a power supply’s position. Firstly, we assume a simple regional condition and analyze the basic structure of off-grid based on the position of power supply and buildings through the linear models. Secondly, we propose a high-speed processing algorithm and reveal that the optimal off-grid region has a nested structure with network models. Finally, we apply this algorithm to the real electric poles and buildings data in Tsukuba city.
