This study aims at revealing the restoration and landscaping contents based on the system construction for accumulation and inheritance of technical knowledges about the characteristics of traditional buildings. The system constructed for accumulation and inheritance of technical knowledges considering the characteristics of traditional buildings has been utilized in the Seki-Juku Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings since 1980. As a result, various efforts have an effect on the on-site implementation of restoration and landscaping of traditional buildings, which contribute to the formation of distinctive landscape in Seki-Juku reflecting its characteristics of traditional buildings.
