Malaria mutator：as a novel research tool for parasite evolution including drug resistance 

Modern protistology and parasitology have been producing high impact scientific achielvements by virtue of innovation cutting edge science in biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology. Retrospectively, protistoltogy and parasitology played central roles in discovery of fundatmentally important biological processes such as antigenic variations, RNA editing, and trans-splicing in Trypanosoma, and often led to paradigm shift of life sciences. In this symposium, we will highlight several representative examples of top science produced in the field of protistology and parasitology and discuss our future contribution to life sciences.
