クライオ電顕による立体構造解析の発展と現在

近年、クライオ電子顕微鏡によるタンパク質の構造解析は検出器の発明と解析ソフトの開発で飛躍的に進歩し、構造生物学の世界に革命をもたらしている。認知症疾患の患者脳に蓄積するタウ、αシヌクレイン、TDP-43、Aβなどの構造が次々と明らかにされ、タンパク質の構造に基づいた疾患分類が提唱されている。認知症の診断プローブ開発や治療薬開発もつながるクライオ電顕解析について、これまで何がどこまで解明されたか紹介していただき、今後どのような応用が考えられるかなどについて議論したい。
