Polymorphic Structures and Characteristics of Nematic-Based Ferronematics

Recently, a new nematic polymorph with highly polar order has been found. This is the long-awaited ferronematic (N<sub>F</sub>) phase. A common significant characteristic is a colossal dielectric permittivity (&gt;10,000) in the N<sub>F</sub> phase. Here, the polymorphic structures and characteristics of a 1,3-dioxane-tethered ferronematogen (DIO) are introduced.
