[DXRp1-6]Radiation-Induced Luminescence Properties of Tm-Doped Ca3TaGa3Si2O14 Single Crystals

Undoped and Tm-doped Ca3TaGa3Si2O14 single crystals were synthesized by the floating zone method. All the prepared samples exhibited broad emission bands at 300–600 nm under X-ray irradiation. In addition, sharp emission peaks were observed at 350, 450, and 480 nm. Scintillation decay curves were fitted by a sum of three exponential functions. Two slow components were respectively derived from host emission and 4f–4f transitions of Tm3+.
