We synthesized Nd-doped BaO-Bi2O3-P2O5 glasses and investigated their photoluminescence and scintillation properties. The samples showed near-infrared luminescence derived from 4f-4f transitions of Nd3+. We examined the dose rate response functions of the samples to evaluate the applicability to radiation measurements. The lower detection limit of radiation dose rate with our setup was 0.06 Gy/h.
