Automotive displays are operated under strongly varying ambient conditions. Local dimming may enhance visual
quality in night drive, while image enhancement methods may mitigate daylight reflection. The scope of this paper
is to investigate how the combination of local dimming and these image processing methods will impact the visual
quality as well as the power consumption for an automotive display under daylight conditions.
