In 2024, we succeeded in developing a new FLC mixture for LCOS and SLM that has an improved temperature range for the SmC phase wider and is less occurrence to alignment defects. However, the switching speed were slower than conventional FLCs in SmC phase of lower temperature. This time, we report that we have succeeded in developing an FLC mixture that has improved low-temperature characteristics while maintaining the good characteristics developed previously.
