The wind loads on permeable panels placed along the perimeter of the rooftop of a high-rise building were investigated in a wind tunnel in our previous paper. Because it was difficult to measure the back side pressures of the panel in the wind tunnel experiment, the rooftop pressures near the panel were used to evaluate the net wind forces on the panel. In this paper, such a simple assumption is validated by the results obtained from the CFD analysis using LES. The precision of the CFD analysis is discussed based on a comparison between CFD analysis and wind tunnel experiment for the wind pressure coefficients on the outer surface of the panel and the roof.
