Uncovering the molecular mechanisms underlying the health benefits of exercise by recapitulating the effects of exercise with mechanical intervention

口腔周囲筋の運動や力に対する顎関節・上下顎骨・歯・歯周組織の生体反応とそのメカニズム、すなわち生体力学（バイオメカニクス）は、歯科矯正学に関連する生命現象理解の観点から様々な研究が実施され、依然として非常に重要な地位を占めています。近年、我々に比較的馴染み深いこの「バイオメカニクス」に対して、光学顕微鏡技術や遺伝子工学の進歩によって、より細胞・分子レベルに着目した細胞生物学として「メカノバイオロジー」という研究領域が発展してきており、将来の医学的な臨床応用の可能性が期待されています。そこで、本セミナーでは本領域で御高名な3名の先生から、「メカノバイオロジー最前線」について、貴重なお話しを賜ることといたしました。内田貴之先生には、宇宙空間で培養した筋細胞の解析による筋の萎縮について、﨑谷直義先生には、健康維持・促進における運動の有効性や運動による身体機能改善のメカニズムについて、松永智先生には、顎骨形態やそのミクロ・ナノ構造特性も制御する力学機能と新生血管との関連性について、それぞれご講演いただく予定です。参加される日本矯正歯科学会会員の皆様にとって、最新の科学的知見から、日常臨床につながる科学的考察に至る新たな気づきの契機としていただければ幸いです。<br />（公益社団法人日本矯正歯科学会　理事　岡山大学学術研究院医歯薬学域歯科矯正学分野　教授　上岡　寛）<br />（公益社団法人日本矯正歯科学会　学術委員会　委員　九州大学大学院歯学研究院　口腔保健推進学講座　歯科矯正学分野　准教授　春山　直人）
