Overview and initiatives of the Japanese dental specialty board certified orthodontic specialist system

本年６月、（一社）日本歯科専門機構（以下、機構）より当学会から申請していた矯正歯科専門医制度およびその運用（専門医および研修施設等の認定）が認定された旨の通知が届きました。さらに、9月13日付厚生労働省医政局長通知の発出および医療広告ガイドラインの改正により、機構認定を受けている201名の矯正歯科専門医について広告可能になりました。2020年9月にはじまった機構との20回にわたる意見交換会（含：打合会1回）および機構専門医申請学会評価認定委員会等のヒアリングを経て今般認定に至りました。機構との話し合いでは、当学会歴代理事長を含め、専門医委員会、認定医・専門医制度改革検討委員会ならびに管理指導医委員会委員長他、多くの方々に尽力いただきました。矯正歯科専門医制度の構築に向けた取り組み概要についてはインフォメーションレター、JOSフォーラム等で情報提供してきたところですが、本ワークショップでは制度の認定にあたって中心的な役割を果たしてきた主要委員会委員長の先生方から本制度の目的、認定までの道程および制度の運用にあたって重要な位置づけにある研修制度について概説いただきます。また、現行の各種認定制度との整合性あるいは改定の必要性についても言及いただきます。さらに、矯正歯科専門医の取得申請を目指す若手開業矯正歯科医より本制度への期待や疑問点についてお話しいただき、参加者の皆様方と意見交換する場を設けたいと考えています。<br />（公益社団法人日本矯正歯科学会　監事、新潟大学　名誉教授　齋藤　功）<br />（公益社団法人日本矯正歯科学会 専門医委員会 委員長、日本大学　名誉教授　清水　典佳）
