Surgical Orthodontic Treatment for Vertical Problems

矯正歯科治療における垂直的問題を伴う不正咬合に対するアプロ―チとして、混合歯列期には様々な矯正装置が用いられており、永久歯列期には歯科矯正用アンカースクリューや顎矯正手術を併用して改善を試みることが多くなっております。垂直的問題は個々の症例において、骨格性、歯性、および機能性要因がどのように起因しているか診断することで治療目標や治療方法は異なると考えらます。また、垂直的問題を形態的に改善した後、長期的安定を得るためには、上下顎臼歯部、前歯部の圧下・挺出量などの治療のゴール設定、矯正治療単独と外科的矯正治療との境界、機能的問題への対応など適切な治療計画が必要と考えられます。そこで、本シンポジウムでは、4名の著名な先生方に垂直的問題に対するアプローチとして成長期の治療から長期保定に関するご講演をいただき、形態と機能の調和を目指した矯正歯科治療について皆様と議論を深めたいと思います。<br />（公益社団法人日本矯正歯科学会　管理指導医委員会　委員長、研修施設審査委員会　委員長、九州歯科大学 歯学部　顎口腔機能矯正学分野　教授　川元　龍夫）<br />（公益社団法人日本矯正歯科学会　理事、鶴見大学歯学部　歯科矯正学講座　教授　友成　博）
