[EL-2-1]Use the AHA family of instruments to evaluate bimanual performance

Funakoshi Noriko2(1.Ergothérapie et Coordination de Projet Recherche Clinque au Centre des Massues Croix-Rouge française à Lyon, 2.Hôpital Armand Trousseau AP-HP Service MPR pédipatrique/Cabinet d’ergothérapie Funakoshi)
In the early 2000s, the AHA (Assisting Hand Assessment) was developed to measure and describe how effectively children with a unilateral disability, such as unilateral cerebral palsy (CP), spontaneously use their affected hand (assisting hand) during bimanual activities. The AHA is now used worldwide as the gold standard, particularly in the field of pediatric CP; this new way of evaluating bimanual performance has been further developed and adapted to be applied across various groups, from infants at risk of CP, to children with unilateral and bilateral CP, and even adults with post-stroke hemiplegia. This presentation introduces the AHA family and the key features of each assessment.
