In this work, to design and create the transition metal sulfide cluster-based methane conversion reaction, we investigated the thermal stability and reactivity of the dianionic metal sulfide cluster with methane. As a result, the different thermal stability of the dianionic clusters dependent upon the type of the coexistent counter cation could be observed. The detailed character of the dianionic metal sulfide cluster, together with the reactivity with methane will be presented.
