[1B14]Ring-opening metathesis polymerization of cyclic olefins by (arylimido)vanadium(V)-alkylidene catalysts

In this lecture, we wish to introduce our explroed results concerning ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) of substituted norbornenes and the other (low strained) cyclic olefins. It was revealed that V(CHSiMe3)(N-2,6-Cl2C6H3)(OC6Cl5)(PMe3)2 enables to proceed ROMP of various norbornene derivatives with moderate activity and cis specific ROMP of (low strained) cycloheptene has been demostrated by V(CHSiMe3)(N-2,6-Cl2C6H3)[OC(CF3)3](PMe3)2.
