Crystalline Mo-V-W-Cu oxide (C-MoVWCuO) was synthesized and its crystal structure was determined. Through the comparisons with the industrially used Mo-V based mixed oxide catalyst about their physicochemical properties and catalytic properties, we concluded C-MoVWCuO contain the true catalytically active structure for selective oxidation of acrolein.
