[B09]n-Butane dehydrogenation over mesoporous alumina-supported PtCu catalysts

Mesoporous alumina-supported PtCu catalysts (PtCu/meso-Al2O3) were prepared by the one-pot preparation method and tested for n-butane dehydrogenation under H2/H2O conditions. Compared to the PtCu/gamma-Al2O3 catalyst, the PtCu/meso-Al2O3) catalysts had much higher catalytic activity with high selectivity to butenes and 1,3-butadiene. Moreover, those catalysts did not show severe deactivation during the dehydrogenation.
