Focusing on chemical recycling, one of the recycling methods of waste plastics, we will convert waste plastics into petrochemical raw materials. In order to improve fluidity and remove repellent substances, waste plastics are dissolved in an organic solvent for catalytic decomposition. Polypropylene, Beta-type zeolite, and a petroleum-based solvent were used as a plastic, catalyst, and solvent, respectively. The level of conversion of polypropylene and the difference in products distribution were studied.
