In recent years, the effective utilisation of fossil resources, CCUS, renewable energy and plant-derived resources has gained momentum towards the realisation of a sustainable society. In this context, we have focused on isobutene (i-C4=), one of the raw materials for the production of methyl methacrylate (MMA). In this study, we investigated the development of isobutene production by oxidative dehydrogenation of isobutane using Cr-modified mesoporous silica as a catalyst for the effective utilisation of finite oil and natural gas resources.
