Biogenic volatile organic compounds analysis emitted from plants are important in atmospheric and agricultural research. Quantitative analysis of isoprene are tested by long-pass mid-infrared laser absorption spectroscopy at CH stretch region of isoprene (v23) of 2957 cm-1. Mid-infrared radiation source is based on differential frequency generation in PPLN pumped by two near-infrared distributed feedback lasers.
