In this study, we successfully detected the DNA hybridization using probe DNA immobilized polymer-based photonic crystal. The polymer-based photonic crystal was fabricated using nanoimprint lithography. The probe DNA was immobilized onto the polymer-based photonic crystal electrostatically or covalent bond. And then, the different concentration of target DNA solutions were introduced onto the probe DNA immobilized photonic crystal to perform the DNA hybridization. From these experimental proceddure, the differences of optical characteristics change by the probe DNA immobilization methods were evaluated.
