A FRET probe immobilized on a substrate is used for a DNA microarray. The FRET probe consists of a pair of a fluorescent molecule modified probe and a quenching molecule modified probe. The two probes are partially linked with sequences complementary to each other. This FRET probe is quenched in the closed state. When the target DNA is hybridized, quenching is released and fluorescence is detected. We have confirmed the light intensity change in the quenching state and the light emitting state depending on the concentration of the FRET probe immobilized on the substrate.
