We developed high concentration sensing technology of methanol gas expected for P2C with safety and low cost. WO3 nanoparticles were coated on a comb-shaped Pt electrode and illuminated with a white LED at room temperature. The resistance decreased by 70% for high concentration methanol gas (17 vol%) and by 9% and 4% for 3.5 and 1.2 vol% methanol, respectively. The response is very small without light.
