We report electrochemical Peltier effect (EPE). EPE causes the heating and cooling of electrodes by conveying the redox reaction heat derived by the external current input. We report here the construction of EPE cell as a novel cooling device. Also, we report the enhancement of heat transfer by introducing host-guest interactions between α-CD and I3–.
