Volumetric 3D display in which a cross-sectional image is projected to on a high-speed rotating spiral screen has a problem in that a blind area is generated depending on viewpoints. In this research, the blind area was extracted by the ray tracing method. The visibility on the surface side and the outer peripheral side of the stereoscopic image, which is important as a 3D display characteristic, was shown to be relatively high. This result suggests that practical display performance can be obtained by appropriate image positioning in the region with higher visibility.
