エンジンオイ­ル性能の向上のため，リン酸トリクレジル(TCP)が極圧添加剤として加えられる．TCPは高圧高温下で酸化鉄と反応して皮膜を形成し潤滑を保つ．この反応について, 原子レベルでの実験解析が難しく，メカニズムの詳細はわかっていない. 我々は，電子レベルのシミュレーションにより，その反応の初期過程を明らかにし，さらに発見した反応のバリアエネルギーを明らかにする. 詳細は講演で報告する.
