We have developed a novel teaching aid for measuring the work functions of metals using the hollow-cathode lamp. We already succeeded in determing the work functions of Cs and K with this technique. In this report, we will desicribe the experimental results on measuring the work function of Eu atoms. The reproducibility of experimental results and the versatility of our experimental technique will be checked.
