In recent years, many products have been put on the market that are concerned with the effects of blue light. Eyeglasses are also widely used as a part of such products. Blue light is blue light with wavelengths in the vicinity of 380 nm to 495 nm. However, since the peak sensitivity of S-cones is 441 nm, cutting blue light may affect color discrimination. In fact, companies have reported an effect on color discrimination in visual inspections. In this study, we examined the effects of using blue light-cut lenses on human color recognition characteristics.
