Gas identification and related technologies have attracted increasing attention recently due to their potential applications in wide range, including industrial to even consumer use. Therefore, development of novel methods for gas identification is highly expected without relying on conventional equipment that is typically bulky, expensive, and is used in the lab with the help of trained operators. In this talk, we report a facile method for identifying gases using an extremely simple device that consists of a polydimethylsiloxane slab bonded on a glass substrate.
