[I-22]Basic experimental study on the application of simple tapered pipe-in-pipe connection to column structures

Simple pipe connection having tapered pipe-in-pipe structure was tested. As conventional tapered pipe-in-pipe structure dese not have resisting parts to axial force. new structures having resiting parts against both compression and tension are proposed. The new structures were tested by horizontal cyclic loading test under constant axial force. The efficiency of new resisting parts are assumed by the test results.
