Weathering steel was developed and have been utilized for bridges. Characteristics of the abnormal rust layers containing chlorides formed on weathering steel should be understood to utilize it efficiently. In this study, the cross-section of rust layers formed on weathering steels by wet-dry cycle test have been characterized.
