An optimal intensity measure (IM) is a crucial parameter that can significantly affect the results of seismic fragility analysis. The best IM results in lower uncertainty in demand model estimation. In this study, the spectral acceleration at 1.0 sec was found to be the best IM for fragility estimation out of six distinct IMs and the fragility functions were derived. Bearings were found to be the most fragile among the components, ultimately affecting the fragility of the system in the lowest damage states. These results might aid in prioritizing structural retrofits during extreme seismic events and provide an accurate fragility estimation for decision-making.
