分布型水循環モデルにおいてはこれまで，ため池の要素を組込んでいないことから，米代川流域において，モデルへの流域内ため池群の導入を試みた．そこでは管理実態を考慮した灌漑放流方法の設定や，同一メッシュ内での複数ため池の合算等を考えモデルの改良を行った．モデルの計算結果から，流域レベルの水文解析ではため池の影響は小さいと考えられ，今後，一定規模以上のため池をスクリーニングできる可能性が示唆された．
