Zirconia forefront in a general practitioner

　ジルコニア材料が歯冠修復材料として応用されてから10年以上の経過が経ち，材料学的な考察や臨床的な有用性の報告がなされてきた．それらの結果から，ジルコニアは，インプラント上部構造の材料選択に欠かせないものとして位置付けされている．インプラント上部構造の材料選択を考える場合，機械的強度，生体親和性さらに色調改善を可能とする審美性が重要となる．ジルコニアは，それらの条件を網羅している材料であることから，インプラント上部構造の第一選択材料として位置づけされるようになってきた．さらにジルコニアは，CAD/CAMを用いたデジタルインプラント技工であるため，技工工程の簡略化や適合性の向上など，近年注目されているデジタルインプラント治療の発展に大きく関与している．近年では，機械的な強度のさらなる安定性やシンタリング焼結後の適合性の向上など多くの改良がなされている．特に審美性における光透過性の向上や色調再現を向上させるマルチレイヤーのジルコニアの開発は，最も進化しているところと言える．<br>　本シンポジウムでは，３人のシンポジストに異なる立場からインプラント上部構造材料としてのジルコニアの材料学的特徴を整理していただき，近年デジタルデンティストリーにおける取り組みと臨床的な考察を教授していただく．本シンポジウムでジルコニアの現在の到達点から，今後の課題について有意義なディスカッションを行いたい．
