　インプラント治療の初期段階では害がなく，生体内で安定した状態で機能を果たすことに主眼をおいて材料や形態などの研究がなされてきた．その後チタン材料を用いたオッセオインテグレーションタイプインプラントが主流になり，予知性のある治療が見込まれるようになってきた．さらに誰にでも，どこの部位にもインプラント治療を受けられるように，その適応症拡大のためのインプラント関連手術が紹介され盛んに行われてきた．現在では機能面だけでなく，審美性やより長期間安定した状態で使用出来，一生使用できるインプラント治療を目指して世界中のインプラントニストが研究している．<br>　サイナスリフトやＧＢＲ法などのインプラント関連手術が日本に紹介されてから20年近くたっている．これら関連手術を応用するようになり，インプラント治療の適応範囲が飛躍的に増加してきた．一方当初は適応とされていたものも，長期経過をたどると問題を生じることがわかってきたものもある．今回は3名の経験豊かな著名な先生方に適応症，術式，器械器具および材料などを過去の反省，現状と最新情報，そして未来への展望について講演していただく予定である．
