Proposal for implant treatment strategy based on individual healthy life expectancy and degree of independence

　口腔内に配置したインプラントの臨床経過を観察すると思いのほか長く，現時点においても30年以上維持されているものが多数観察される．この結果，外来受診できる範囲を超えて介護環境においてもインプラントのみ残ってしまう場合も少なくない．<br>　これまでも如何にインプラントを長く口腔内に存続させるかが重要課題と考えられてきており，インプラントを行う医療従事者はそのための工夫に終始している．しかし，一方で自立度が下がり外来受診できなくなる状況下での患者対応という意味で，歯を含めたインプラントの終い方に衆目が集まるようになってきた．<br>　そこで，本シンポジウムでは立場の異なる三人のシンポジストにご登壇頂き，櫻井先生からは「口腔機能低下症」を中心に口腔変化と全身的変化の関連について，また，黒嶋先生からは個人差がある自立度の変化を把握するための評価基準と補綴的対応を，梅原先生からは親子二代に渡るインプラント適用症例の長い経過観察から臨床現場で経験したことをお話し頂き，患者の自立度の変化に備えるインプラント治療を討論したい．
