　2012年4月から先進医療として行われてきたインプラント義歯の治療が保険適応された．そして大学病院口腔外科を中心に多くの施設で適応症例に限り保険適応インプラントの治療が多く行われるようになった．保険適応インプラントは非常に有用な治療であるが，症例が増えるとともに経過不良症例に関する報告例も多くみられるようになった．また，適用の解釈の隔たり，患者の経済的負担が軽くなったが，診療報酬上の点数が低いため，施設に対しての経済的負担の問題や保険点数の算定方法が不明な点が多いなど他にも様々な保険適応インプラントに関する課題，問題点が残されている．本シンポジウムでは保険適応インプラント治療を多く経験されている先生方から臨床症例を供覧して頂き，本治療の現状から課題，問題点を抽出し，今後，求められる様々な点と今後の展望を議論したい．また会員の皆様に保険適応インプラントの適応について詳細に分かりやすく説明して頂く．
