We made table clocks and wall clocks from felled lacquer trees.
The characteristics of the lacquer tree are "scratches on the bark" and "yellow lumber color". We wanted the user to know the thoughts of the lacquer craftsman from some scratches. Therefore, the table clock had a scratched design, and a dial was attached to the yellow plate. We wanted the user to feel the growth time of the tree, so the wall clock was designed with annual rings.
