The Interdisciplinary Design Studies (IDS) aims to cultivate individuals who can practically utilize design thinking. Design thinking requires teamwork, respect for individual perspectives and ideas, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. The purpose of this study is to design a class process where learners co-create ideas through social interaction with others in an online learning environment. Social constructivism is used as a theoretical background to ensure that the learning environment always brings social interaction. A class design was conducted by combining flipped learning and active learning. As a result, autonomous and proactive learning leading to creative understanding was achieved, and an additional effect of peer learning was also obtained.
