[1Da07]Electronic Properties and Atomic Composition of Single-Atomic-Layer (Pb,Bi)/Ge Compound Structures

The mixture of spin-singlet and -triplet Cooper pairs appearing in atomic-layer superconductors with Rashba-type spin-splitting has become a topic of great interest since the discovery of the (Tl,Pb)/Si structure. Another promising candidate structure, which could exhibit the same phenomenon is the (Pb,Bi)/Ge system. By fabricating different (Pb,Bi) structures we were able to show that these structures all exhibit metallic band dispersions. This presentation will show the relationship between the electronic structures and the Bi to Pb ratio of the fabricated (Pb,Bi)/Ge structures. In addition, we will present detailed experimental results of these structures.
