Identidication of cell penetrating peptide and its application to a protein-based cellular engineering for cell therapies

Genome editing is an emerging genome modification technology based on the introduction of double-strand breaks (DSB) into target genes and their repair. Since the development of CRISPR–Cas9 in 2012, genome editing has spread widely and become a general-purpose technique. Moreover, novel genome editing techniques have emerged and new functional factors have been created by the combination of DNA binding and functional domains. In this symposium, we will focus on novel technologies derived from genome editing, such as CRISPR screening and cell lineage tracking, and novel tools for transcriptional activation and epigenome editing.
