<strong>Video imaging of proteins at work by high-speed atomic force microscopy</strong>

Imaging is one of the most important techniques in biological research. Recent developments in bioimaging technology such as development of various probes, development of new optical microscope technology such as super resolution and two-photon excitation fluorescence microscope, improvement of detector performance, development of new imaging technology including high speed AFM, etc. are remarkable. In addition, new techniques for manipulating molecules and cell functions in microscopic regions are being developed due to light, light induced heat, etc., and they are used in conjunction with imaging. In this symposium, we introduce these new imaging technologies, combinations with techniques to manipulate molecules and cell functions, and latest findings obtained.
