Novel protein quality control system cooperated by zinc ions and ERp44 in the early secretory pathway

Due to recent dramatic progress in structure analysis, spectroscopy, cell imaging analysis with super-resolution microscopy, and molecular dynamics simulation in cellular environments, we are now able to reveal protein structures and dynamics within cells with high accuracy. Consequently, liquid-liquid phase separation, which mediates the condensation of proteins and nucleic acids into dense liquid droplets without forming membrane vesicles, have been discovered, and its physiological functions and close relevance to diseases receive much attention from many scientists. In this symposium, domestic and foreign rising scientists who eagerly try to elucidate intracellular protein behaviors at the molecular level using various cutting-edge experimental techniques and information sciences will give their latest exciting topics of studies. Thus, we will have information exchanges and active discussions concerning the novel in-cell protein sciences.
