Preventing CpG hypermethylation in oocytes safeguards mouse development

The expression of several thousand developmental genes is regulated in a spatio-temporal manner during development. To differentiate into a specific lineage, it is necessary to regulate the expression of genes involved in lineage commitment. However, it is not clear how such gene regulation is established. In this symposium, we will focus on how epigenomes at critical genes involved in development and differentiation are established and maintained, and we will present and discuss the latest research findings.<br>
