Discovery of calcium storage organs and calcium mobilizing hormone in the "boneless" fruit fly

Minerals are dietary requirements and are essential for life. Recent advances in research techniques have made it clear that minerals are not simply elements necessary for survival, but are factors that actively influence the fate of cells, organs and even individuals. In this symposium, we would like to discuss the current status and future of mineral biology, upon sharing the latest studies on the mechanisms of various biological processes that sensitively detect and respond to increases and decreases in each mineral.<br>
