3）Translation of ILAE 2017 Classificationinto Japanese, problems of the classification, and domestic measures of The Japan Epilepsy Society to it from now on

【企画・趣旨のねらい】 　てんかんに関する分類は，臨床現場のみならず，臨床・基礎研究，治験，疫学調査，教育，保険，福祉など，様々な場面において不可欠な枠組みであり，てんかんに関わる全ての人々が利用可能な共通語でもある．利用者の立場や目的によって様々な基準での分類が必要であるが，国際抗てんかん連盟（ILAE）のてんかん・発作型分類は，臨床現場における情報共有の目的を主軸とした枠組みである．その時代における科学的理解に基づいた分類体系であることが理想的であるが，同時に実用的でなくてはならず，従って，時代とともに変化していく必要がある． 　ILAEの分類は，1969年のGastautらを中心に作成された分類に端を発するが，数多くの発作ビデオを用いた症状・脳波分析に基づき改訂された1981年の発作型，1989年のてんかん・てんかん症候群分類は広く受け入れられ，長年にわたり使用されてきた．しかし，近年の画像や遺伝子解析など，めまぐるしい技術進歩により，てんかんに関する科学的理解は飛躍的に深まり，数多くの実用的・用語的問題点も浮き彫りになった．活発な議論が行われ，2006年，2010年の試案を経て，実に数十年ぶりとなる新たな公式の枠組として，2017年分類が発表された． 　2017年分類は，専門家のみならず非専門の医療従事者，患者・家族，そこに関わる一般市民を含め，様々な立場の人々にとっても理解しやすい用語や枠組みを提供するとともに，新生児を含む全年齢の発作に対応し，かつ，これまで分類困難であった多彩な現象・状況をカバーする，柔軟性・汎用性の高いものとなった．妥協点や，さらに議論を深めるべきポイントも少なくはないが，本邦においても世界と足並みを揃えてんかん診療を発展させるため，積極的に利用していくことが求められる． 　本シンポジウムは，改訂部分の表面的確認に終始するのではなく，国際的視点を持ち，分類の全体像，背景，意義，分類の現在地と将来展望，用語，実用法に関して本質的に理解するとともに，本邦における正しい新分類の利用を推進するため，用語の邦訳過程や問題点，学会における今後の対応を認識することを目標とする．
