[ALPS8-04]The impact of Er/Tm impurities in Yb:YLF on anti-Stokes fluorescence cooling

Energy transfer processes from Yb3+ to Er3+ and Tm3+ in YLF are investigated to quantify their influence on anti-Stokes fluorescence cooling. We revealed that Er3+ causes a significant intensity dependence on the laser cooling efficiency.
