“つやつや”や“ざらざら“といった視覚的質感は，正反射光と散乱光の強度比によって光学的に評価できる．我々はこれまでに，“つやつや”な面と“ざらざら”な面を微細に並べることにより，その割合に応じて両者の中間的な視覚的質感の光学特性が得られることを示している．この光学特性と人間の視覚的感覚との関係性を示すための官能評価手法について検討を行った．
